What Is Base Camp?
It is:
- A Celebration of Freedom

- A Recognition of the Cost of the Fight For
Freedom
- A Homecoming
- An Opportunity to Reunite with Old Friends and
Comrades
- An Opportunity to Meet New Friends
- A Time to Honor
- A Time to Be Honored
- A Time to Remember
- A Time to Be Remembered
- A Time to Heal
- A Time to Grow
- A Time to Cut Loose and Have Some Fun!
Base Camp is a safe place for a veteran
to be a veteran! One friend, a guy who spent some time crawling around
in tunnels in S.E. Asia, said "This place has saved my life!" Some
wounds were recognized with Purple Hearts, other wounds will never be
known or seen except by others who were there too. Still others will
call their time of service "the best years of my life" - because they
were doing something that really mattered, and that really made a
difference.

Not everybody has this much fun, but we all try! |
